As I shall say again, for those that missed it on three other pages of this site or can not be bothered to read it, avi.NET and pgc.NET are .NET applications, and like all other .NET applications, they require the Microsoft .NET Framework to be installed on your PC. For most people, this will already be installed as it is available via the normal 'Windows Update' procedure. These .NET applications are for the 32 bit versions of windows only, NOT for the x64 versions nor x64 bit CPU!
avi.NET and pgc.NET are programmed/compiled under Windows Vista and work perfectly with this new operating system.

The files in the .Tools support package are not necessarily all needed, they're just there incase you don't already have one or more of them installed. The package contains: AVISynth v2.5.7, Vobsub v2.2.3, XviD v1.1.3, and ac3 Filter v1.46. |
Available below is pgc.NET which is a dvd ripper targeted at ripping a selected program chain (PGC) from a dvd. Although it can rip the program chain directly from a dvd, due to newer anti-copy protections on some new dvds it may be sensible to first rip the dvd to your hard drive with a ripper that can deal with these new dvd disks. If a particular program chain is required (for making an AVI) then pgc.NET can be used on the hard drive folder that contains the already ripped dvd files.
